seeking local artists
As part of the City’s Art in Public Places program, a vending machine full of art for purchase will be located at upcoming City events.
The City of Santa Clarita is seeking artists to create sellable artwork made available through the City’s new Art2Go program, which benefits youth activities, assemblies, and contests to promote arts education in local schools. Artists interested in being a part of this program are asked to submit four photos of their existing art pieces for consideration by Wednesday, February 15.
If selected, artists must purchase their own materials to create 10 works of art to be available and sold as part of the Art2Go program. Artwork cannot be larger than 5 ¼” x 6” x 4” and must include printed information about the piece or artist, as well as the artists’ contact information.
