gratitude is more than saying, “thanks.”
Wow! It’s Thanksgiving week already. I’m out of breath just thinking about how quickly this year has flown by. Since it is the season, I want to talk about Gratitude. I happen to give thanks about a hundred times a day, but it’s not the usual “Thank you” that’s meant for the bank teller, or check out guy at Trader Joes, this is the thank you that comes with a moment of breath and joy.
Each morning when I wake up, I give thanks. Before I fall asleep at night, I give thanks. I give thanks while driving in my car, and I give thanks when I see the autumn leaves change color. I give thanks for my children, my friends, my work, my life. I give thanks for BEING.

I’ve noticed that not all people give thanks randomly. Many feel that they are alone and overwhelmed by their lives. I have a great tip for you, and I hope you take it to heart. It may sound “Woo Woo” to some, but I promise you that by doing what I say, your life will begin to change.
You’ve got to ask for help.
Okay, let me explain. As humans we have a lot of help from ‘Beings of Light’ that we cannot see. Some call them Angels or Spirit Guides. The truth is, every person is surrounded by their personal entourage that assist them in being the best person they can be during their life journey.
Here is the problem. Guides and angels cannot do anything to help you unless you ask them. They will sit on the sidelines of your life and watch you scream “Why isn’t someone helping me?” until you ask them. I ask for help all the time. I ask for help if I lose my keys, if I am looking for an address, and even if I need to find something on sale.
Then, I give thanks. You see, your personal “assistants” don’t ask for anything in return for helping you except your gratitude. So, please remember to give thanks, not only to the bank teller, and the check out guy at Trader Joes, but the helpers you can’t always see. And then, witness some miracles.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks to my new friend for all your support! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Thanks for your article…it really made me consider how often during a regular day that I should take a step back and be more thankful!
