3 weight loss secrets

Wouldn’t it be nice to know what to do, and how to do it to shed those extra few pounds and keep them off? Well, I’m going to reveal some of my top secrets to how I lost over 20lbs. and how I help my clients get rid of the extra weight… and keep it off!!!

1. Are you eating the wrong foods with right intentions? So many of my clients tell me that they are “eating right” but when I take a look at their food journal I quickly see that a few tweaks need to be made. There are foods that put your body in a fat storage zone and foods that put your body in a fat burning zone. So many foods and diet companies seem like your best choice but as my clients quickly learn, some are not! If something is labeled low cal, low fat, or diet, often times is a big enemy for positive results in your weight loss efforts. It’s about choosing foods that keep your blood sugars steady so your body doesn’t turn the “store fat” switch on! For a complete list, please contact me.

2. Are you over fed yet under nourished? We as American eat so much food, high in calories, fat and sugar yet we still aren’t getting the nourishment we need. We can go to any restaurant and sit down to a meal that’s well over 1000 calories and yet still not much, if any, nutrition at all. When we don’t get the vitamins, minerals, nutrients we need our bodies continue to crave more food, which of course, means taking in more calories, which of course leads to weight gain. My best tip here is to eat healthy fat with your meals, like nuts, avocado, olive oil, flaxseed, or salmon. These healthy fats allow your body to best absorb the vitamins in the food. I also recommend supplementation as well which you can get at www.amway.com/tamilindahl … I do it even though I eat very healthy, and so should you.

3. Ok, so you went on that diet, and you joined the gym… but what happens 3 or 4 weeks in and your old “programs” start kicking in? You start telling yourself you can’t do it, the excuses start rearing their ugly heads, the “voices” tell you just one piece of pie won’t hurt… and back to the same old thing you go. It isn’t until you make different associations with the food and exercises that will have you change your behavior long term which, of course ultimately will bring you the results you want! As you begin to link pain to not exercising (vs. pain to doing the exercise) for example, you are far more likely to show up!! If you link pleasure to eating more veggies (vs. linking the pain of eating “diet” food) you are far more likely to eat more veggies.
