I enjoy a good dessert place and this week I found myself at the Dairy Queen on Bouquet Canyon Road in the Best Buy parking lot. I must admit, it has been a REALLY long time since I stood looking up at a menu where you could choose your flavor of BLIZZARD. It amazed me at the variety and the mix-in-ability to truly customize your own frosty treat.

And as I was meandering down the lane of sweet treats I thought of SNOW CAPS and other movie candy that I could relate to and could potentially add to my own smoothie creation if I chose to take home a pint of the DQ happiness.

Sharing this lovely experience with my family BACK EAST did not have my same reaction. My sister said, “You talk BLIZZARD and think ice cream. You go on about SNOW CAPS and you are sampling morsels of chocolate! We have 24 inches of ACTUAL SNOW… the snow caps COVER my mini-van and we actually are expecting a REAL BLIZZARD!!!!”
