tea and soup
Soup was on sale this past week. It was perfect timing with the on-again-off-again cold chilly-ness of the SCV. I like a good soup. Growing up soup was not just a bowl of broth a few chunks of chicken or veggies, oh no. My dad would say, “..if I wanted only clear liquid I would have tea!” So in any soup I recall my mom making it had lentils and pasta and other yummy bits where it was a full bowl of all sorts of stuff. When confronted that her soup may just be a stew, she was quite clear that her soup had enough liquid to qualify as soup as it stirred-up nicely and was ample to serve our large family.
Ah, good times indeed!
What does this have to do with Real Estate in Santa Clarita Valley?
Recently ‘tea’ has become to mean grass roots change. Then, I think ‘soup’ should become to represent diverse participation in the process. Much like a hearty lentil, minestrone, and sirloin chunky vegetable, the Santa Clarita Valley has such a cupboard of diverse areas and each need to actively participate in the process. Your opinion not only matters it is required to ensure you connect with your community. You live here, you drive on the roads, you buy stuff, you eat stuff, you go places and do things right here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Topics discussed by area councils, regional and state representatives, turn into ordinances, rules of the road and yes, laws. All of which may impact your life in the Santa Clarita Valley. Remember only in America can you freely have the opportunity to have your say, own real property and be part of the process.
See the links below to neighborhood councils and representatives to keep informed and stay connected. Check the calendars when these folks meet or have events and find out what they are talking about and when they are making decisions. Perhaps make a night of it…”Dinner and a Council Meeting!” Check with Chef Dawn for some soup recipes or maybe a local eatery. I hear the soup at Fish Tail is good – it has lots of stuff in it
Have a great week!
