trader joe’s expands salmonella recall
Trader Joe’s Co., which has three stores in New Mexico, is voluntarily recalling all of its private label brand chocolate chip granola bars due to possible salmonella contamination.
The announcement expands a recall announced on Feb. 10 in which the California-based company called back specific lots of its Trader Joe’s Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bars. The recall now covers all code dates of the chocolate chip chewy granola bars manufactured by Bloomfield Bakery, a subsidiary of Ralcorp Holdings Inc. (NYSE: RAH). The granola bars covered by the recall were distributed nationally and come in 7.4 oz boxes.
