signs, signs, everywhere

You know that song  called “Signs” by the Five Man Electrical Band?  Okay, I didn’t remember the name of the band either, but I do remember the song.  “Signs, signs, everywhere signs…..”   Well, that is the song that got stuck in my head today which I took as an (uh) sign to write about SIGNS!

I believe there are signs everywhere which guide us where we need to go, remind us of a loved one, or give us a little nudge in the right direction.  All we have to do is notice them!

Here are a couple of my favorite ‘sign’ stories.

1.  On the way to a boutique I asked for a sign from my dad, who I know watches over me.  I said, “Hey, Dad, I’m going to this boutique, can you give me a sign that you are with me today?”   I pulled up to a red light and the car in front of me had a bumper sticker for a radio station which read JACK which is my dad’s name!  If that weren’t enough, I actually took a moment to read the license plate beside it which read DADSHRK.  So, not one, but two signs at once!
Now, here’s something else a little crazy. When I told my daughter about it, she said, “Oh, you mean this license plate?”  She pulls out her phone and there is a picture of the license plate on her phone that I HAD TEXTED HER weeks before!   (My daughter collects pictures of license plates that spell out things that interest her and I was helping her with her collection).  Another sign that my dad is with me always.

2. Sometimes I do a test for signs. This particular test happened on the day I decided I didn’t want to be married anymore which was waaaaaay back in January, 1993.  I was driving over the freeway at Lyons and I asked for a sign that I was doing the right thing.  That winter, it rained and rained and rained and rained.  The rain didn’t let up for months, but as soon as I asked if I were doing the right thing, the clouds parted and a beautiful rainbow broke through, my favorite WHO song came on the radio, and a car with a Pennsylvania license plate (which was significant at the time) pulled up beside me.  What a sign!

However, since I can be somewhat skeptical, about a week later I was driving North on the 5 freeway and I asked the same thing. “Was I doing the right thing?” and lo and behold, a rainbow appeared in the sky, another WHO song came on the radio, and a Pennsylvania license plate was on the car that pulled up beside me.

There was no question that I was on the right track.

3.  Here’s one more example.  I have been wanting to do a radio show for a very long time and doing the Blog Talk Radio show with Psychic Tee each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 PT is a dream come true.  We kibbitz, and answer psychic questions and talk about healing and chakras, too.  It’s a lot of fun and I love it, however, I cannot stop this urge to have an additional Blog Talk Radio show that is mine alone.  So, I took the plunge and registered on Blog Talk Radio where they issue a call in number for the show.  Here’s the thing….my two favorite numbers in the whole wide world that are my personal signs are 929 and 222.   So, you can imagine my surprise when Blog Talk Radio randomly  issued me my phone number and it is 646-929-2242.   I was like “WHAT?????”  I took that as a big sign.

There are signs everywhere you look.  Even if you pick up any book and turn to any page, you will get information you need at the time.  Don’t be afraid to ask for signs. It’s a wonderful way to communicate with your guides and helpers.

Stay tuned for the launch of my new Blog Talk Radio Show at www.blogtalkradio.com/harrietteknight coming soon!!!

I just returned home after hearing you speak at the Kenneally Center. I noticed that you mentioned that you wrote for SceneInSCV. So I came home and read your article and could hear your voice instead of mine as I read. This is so YOU. It is such a joy to know you Harriette!
