house bonnets
Well it is that time of the year! Spring cleaning? Cadbury Crème Eggs? Yes, but this is the week before Easter, I usually get in my head the “In Your Easter bonnet…” song in my head from that musical that I never remember the name.
So then this year it hit me! What the deuce is a “Bonnet”?!! Let’s take a visit to Wikipedia…
In the mid-18th century “house bonnets” worn by women and girls were generally brimless headcoverings which were secured by tying under the chin, and which covered no part of the forehead. They were worn indoors, to keep the hair tidy, and outdoors, to keep dust out of the hair. Read More

Isn’t it nice to know that even in the mid-10th century women had “house clothes”? I truly believe we all have them. During the week I get dressed in the suit and nice shoes, I do up the accessories (thank you Shelley Winsor/Personal Stylist) and of course a minimum of eyeliner/lipstick (thank you Dora Zavala/Mary Kay). And when I get home, I take a quick peek at the calendar and verify if I have any other meetings or events and if there is nothing on the calendar then I revert to “house clothes”. You know the baggy sweats, and the t-shirt you acquired back in high school that is so soft it is almost translucent. And of course the tube socks …comfy-wiggle your toes tube socks. Hmmmm.
As a REALTOR I help when it comes to buying a home. A home that you can be in your “house clothes”
When selling your house I take great care to market your home and increase its exposure to connect with buyers and agents to give your house the most exposure. One goal in mind is to find the buyer who wants to wiggle their toes and make that house their home. Let me know how I can help you or someone you know.
