2012 consciousness
There is a lot of talk about 2012 these days. A LOT. What does it all mean? Is it the end of the world? Will we wake up on December 21, 2012 and vaporize? I certainly hope not. It would be such a drag three days before my birthday.
As you can tell, I am not worried about the onslaught of 2012. In fact, I believe we are already in the throes of 2012 Consciousness; a time where there is peace and connectedness, and respect for man and nature. We are not completely there yet, but I believe we are on our way.
Many people who come to me for healing sessions express their concern for 2012, the time when the Mayan Calendar ends. It is not clear what the Mayans had in mind, though some believe that a more spiritual and positive change will ensue. I fall into that category. I do not believe there will be an apocalypse. In fact, I think we have already been living in apocalyptic times.
What I have noticed is that we were all living like Fat Cats and we burst at the seams. The economy took a nose dive and we began to learn what is most important in our lives. Family. Respect. Heart to heart connections. Friendship. Trust. We learned that we could survive on a lot less because we were forced to, and some of us have learned this lesson kicking and screaming. This has not been an easy transition, but I believe, a necessary one.
If we are supposed to learn a lesson, we will learn the lesson whether we want to or not. Often we have to be “hit over the head” with it to fully understand where we are going and what we need to accomplish in our lives. Think about how your life has changed in the last year. My goodness! I cannot believe all the positive changes that have ensued even though I had to leave behind what I found no longer worked for me. Releasing old patterns is not an easy thing to do, but collectively, we are doing it, and that is bringing us all closer together.
One of my favorite examples of 2012 Consciousness is Facebook. Yes, I said, Facebook. Facebook’s intent is to CONNECT the world with…..FRIENDS. Isn’t it amazing how so many of us have reconnected with childhood friends so we could have a present moment DO OVER? Talk about healing old wounds. Once we are reconnected with our childhood, we can move forward in wonderous continuity, and share our thoughts, our day, our businesses with people all over the globe. Real time has taken on a new meaning. We are connected. We are becoming ONE.
This, to me, is 2012 Consciousness. To weed out what no longer works and proceed from a heart place. Connect to those who respect our values and support our life journey. Recognize that we are here to learn lessons for the betterment of all mankind, and understand that everyone who is living during these amazing times is in some way a healer, a lightworker, a shaman, an intuitive, a cog in the wheel of what is to come.
We are all here to be of service, to each other and to our planet. 2012 Consciousness, to me, is just that.
