If you’ve never been to Hawaii before, one of the best ways to island hop is on Norwegian’s 7 day cruise beginning and ending in Honolulu. Honolulu (Oahu) – Hawaii’s capital is indeed the jewel city of the Pacific. From Diamond Head and the world-famous beaches of Waikiki, to the inspiring memorials of Pearl Harbor and the Punchbowl National Cemetery, to the only royal palace ever constructed on U.S. soil.
Hilo (Hawaii) – Hilo is a lush tropical town where wild orchids and beautiful red anthuriums thrive in the abundant rains. Explore the wonders of Kilauea Volcano up close on a walk through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. You’ll be amazed by the incredible beauty and power of this active volcano.
Kahului (Maui) – Kahului, located on the north shore of Maui, let’s you enjoy miles of white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The year-round near perfect weather allows you to take full advantage of the sapphire blue skies and warm tropical winds. Aside from housing Maui’s only deep water harbor, Kahului is also where you’ll find the Kahana Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary.
Kona (Hawaii) – Over the past 600 or so years West Hawaii in particular has been a focal point for numerous key events in the history of the State. Kealakekua Bay, where Captain James Cook lost his life, is one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. The area is a state park and conservation site, teeming with undersea life. It’s a great place for both experienced snorkelers and novices to explore the marine world. Or soar over the west side of the Big Island via helicopter and discover the lush green valleys, cascading waterfalls, and rugged shorelines around Waipio Valley.
Nawiliwili (Kauai) – Kauai is everything you imagine Hawaii to be…brilliant colors and blossoming hillsides, all rising mystically from emerald waters. You’ll know at once why Kauai is called the Garden Isle. Play on world-class golf courses, join a snorkeling tour of the islands reefs or enjoy a quiet cruise up the Wailua River. Take a helicopter ride over Waimea Canyon, the valleys and cliffs of the Na Pali Coast, the Valley of the Lost Tribe, and the wettest spot on earth, the Waialeale Crater. Along the way, keep your eyes open for familiar scenery from popular movies, including Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
With so much to see and do in Hawaii, 7 days hardly seems enough. However, this cruise is a great way to see the islands and experience what each has to offer.
