at the movies
This week I went to the Movies! Not just any movie and not in just any movie theatre… I went to see Holy Rollers the new movie from director Kevin Asch, writer Antonio Macia, and actor Jesse Eisenberg, and I saw it at the WORLD REKNOWN … Landmark Theatre! Ah the experience!
I scaled 6 escalators to come upon an upscale eatery…which I have heard is “convenient for dinner and a movie.” As far as prices to portions to quality: “great for a date night, but not so much for a special occasion”… Have you been? Let me know what you think, and drop me a note.
I went up 2 more escalators and there is was, the formal ticket/box office. Much like a hotel registration desk, I thought I was in the wrong place. We got the tickets and were directed by the helpful staff to the concession stand. Now I usually go to the concession stand with a written list of what I want. I do this as the tempting selections would unravel my allocated snack-allowance–and good thing I did. The only way I can describe the concession stand is” ‘Whole Foods meets Sweet Factory meets the Godiva Chocolate Center”. But no fear–I stuck to the list, not surrendering to the Wasabi Peas and other decadent confections smothered in chocolate calling to me with their lilted tones, as chocolate often does.
What does this have to do with Real Estate in Santa Clarita Valley?
Santa Clarita Valley is only a few short miles from this Movie experience, so don’t be afraid to get on-line get the tickets and then hop on the freeway for this near-town experience.
We did asked the manager to build a Landmark Theater in the Santa Clarita Valley and we shared all the benefits our Valley has for such a venue. Don’t get me wrong–I know we have the big movie theaters for the blockbusters and I go to them, I even go to the IMAX, but the Landmark experience was different. They also offer the docu-dramas, the foreign films, the documentaries! Can you imagine a time when films shot in Santa Clarita Valley or made by people who live in Santa Clarita Valley, could actually have their PREMIERS here in Santa Clarita Valley!?!
