social media madness?
We are already over worked, over scheduled, and over stressed. Now with social media marketing we have even less time in our day. We must post, tweet, checkin and still find time to maintain our businesses. There a few tools out there that can help. They automate you social media so you don’t have to.
Hootsuite is my first pick. Though you may find on of the others to your liking. It is user friendly. This platform is free for up to 5 social media platforms. Simply register with the site, confirm it and your on your way. This allows you to set up a post, tweet ,etc for the future up to a year in advance. You can attach links which can be shortened and tracked with their platform. You can add photos or PDF documents to your postings as well. This will save you a lot of time and help you stay on top of your social media marketing.
Ping.FM is also free and does the same automation with your social media platforms. The difference at the platforms. Ping offers a lot more platforms to automate to. If you are a blogger or a like to Bookmark on platforms such as Digg and StumbleUpon this may be your best choice.
My last recommendation for free automation platforms is SocialOOmph. Like the other two platforms it will automate your social media. Social OOmph has a few other features like auto-responder direct message for Twitter. Through this platform you can set up your email to send a message automatically to any new followers you may acquire on Twitter. It definitely helps you get your message out without taking up your time daily.
All of these platforms are effective in their own way. You must choose which is right for you. The best way is to go on all of them for a week each and see which one you feel most comfortable with and that will be your automaton. Remember these automation sites should not take over your live presence on your social media platforms just assist. You should be posting live 70% of the time and automating 30% of the time. Social Media is about…well being social and you can’t do that with automated updates.
I use my knowledge to assist clients in this new wave of web marketing. I also put my five years of upscale retail management experience to work bringing a higher level of success to everything I touch. My three years of experience in the hotel industry (Sales Department, Accounting, and concierge) helped to polish my business savvy. Although my main focus is social media, I has a strong background with fundraising for a large non-profit organization and chaired several events. I am a proud mother of three beautiful children. I live happily in Santa Clarita Valley, California.
