So you have a fan page now and you want to increase traffic but simply don’t know how. Try using the three E’s. They are Educate, Engage, and Entertain. These will help your page flow and get more people interested in your page. So let’s go into further detail about the three E’s, shall we….

Educate means to tell people about your service or product. Like how it can affect their lives or the planet. Be the expert. Tell them all there is to know about your service or business.

For example, if you were a children’s author. You want to tell them about the love of reading. Maybe some statistics on children that read at a young age. How to get their children interested in reading. The benefits reading books can have on their child’s life. Teach them something that they may not have known or makes them think.

Engage means to have your fans participate on your page. We want their input on a variety of topics. So ask questions. Create polls with free Facebook Applications. Use your “discussions tab” to create topics for people to give an option on. Encourage them to post questions on your wall. You could set aside one day a week to have a “Ask The Expert” day and do nothing but field questions for your fans on that day. You want them interested enough to ask questions. Make your fans want to learn about all you do.

Entertain means to keep their interest and well basically entertain them. There are several ways to do this. Comic stripes, Funny antidote, videos, interviews with others, demos, etc. Youtube videos are a great way. There is always a funny video there (be sure to embed the video so you get the Search Engine from it). Interview some people around town. Create your own “Channel” with Vpype (Facebbok Application that is free) and have weekly demos either live or taped on a variety of services you provide or products you sell in the form of tips and how to’s. Post something funny that happen at work or during your day and use that as your “What’s On Your Mind “status update.
